The .hack//LOTB(as it is more commonly known) is in three volumes. The plot differs a lot from the anime. Spoiler: In the manga, Shugo finds a young girl, who has a relation to Aura, but she is not seen in the anime. This girl is an AI and is seen giving Hotaru's grunty an Afro. She also calls Rena, 'Charcoal'. Spoiler: Another difference in the plot, is that Miri's mother used to play The World, ...
